Google Re-auth Helper ("the extension") is a browser extension that automates Google's daily "Verify it's you" re-authentication flow on accounts.google.com.

Data we collect

The extension stores one piece of user-provided data:

How data is used

Your password is used only to fill and submit the Google sign-in form when you encounter a re-authentication page. It is never used for any other purpose.

Where data is stored

Your password is stored locally on your device using the browser's extension storage API (chrome.storage.local). It is not sent to any server, third party, or the extension developer.

Data sharing

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your data with anyone. The extension has no analytics, telemetry, or remote backend.

Permissions

Data deletion

You can remove your saved password at any time by clearing extension data in your browser settings, or by uninstalling the extension.

Limitations

This extension does not support two-factor authentication, SMS codes, security keys, or "Tap Yes on your phone" prompts.
